Sheikh Ibn Uthaimeen said : I wish I know the English language, because

Sheikh Ibn Uthaimeen said about the English language :

Even if it was the ( Kuffar's ) language, you may need it someday.
And I wish I know this language .
Because I found in it a great benefit to ( Daawah ) guiding to Allah .
A person comes to you to enter Islam and you can not communicate with him .

Sheikh Ibn Uthaimeen also said :

That is why the Prophet ( peace be upon him ) ordered Zaid bin Thabet to learn the Hebrew language, which is the language of Jews .

Sheikh Ibn Uthaimeen also said :

Suppose you were in a society that only knows the English language .
Whether they were Englishmen or not .
How will you guide them to Allah .
Can you guide them through signs ?!
Even if you can through a huge knowledge of signs
You can not guide them or direct them through speeches .
So, the statement that ( English is a Kuffar language and is forbidden to be taught ) is a false statement .

قال الشيخ ابن عثيمين رحمه الله عن اللغة الإنجليزية :

(حتى وإن كانت لغة الكفار، فإنك ربما تحتاجها في يوم من الأيام،

وأني أتمنى أن أعرف هذه اللغة..؟!

لأني وجدت فيها مصلحة كبيرة في الدعوة إلى الله،
يأتي رجل ليسلم بين يديك فما تستطيع أن تتفاهم معه،)

وقال(ولهذا أمر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم زيد بن ثايت أن يتعلم اللغة العبرية وهي لغة اليهود )

إلى أن قال رحمه الله...

(هب أنك في مجتمع لا يعرف إلا اللغة الإنجليزية،
سواء كان مجتمعا إنجليزيا أو غير إنجليزي،
كيف تدعو إلى الله؟
هل يمكن أن تدعو أحدا بالإشارة؟
وحتى إن أمكن ذلك فهما بلغت من الإشارة،
فإنك لا تستطيع أن تدله أو تدعوه بالعبارة،
فالقول بأن الإنجليزية لغة الكفار،
وأنه لا يجوز تعلمها قول غير صحيح)

الحمد لله رب العالمين .
I was going to pray fajer today in a masjid far from my house about fifteen minutes walking, and in half the way a car stopped by me and the driver – a man in his 30s - asked me where was I going .
I said : The masjid on the right .
He waved to me to climb in .
I said to myself : I am late and may not reach prayer in time, and it is a chance to make ( Daawah ) .
On our way, I asked him from where he was, He said : From Italy .
So we had a small conversation until we reached the masjid .
I asked him during our conversation if he was a muslim .
He said : No, but I am interested in Islam .

When we reached the masjid, I told him I pray here every day at this time .
He said : Can I come ?
I said : Yes, would you like to enter now ?
He said : Now a person is waiting for me .
I said : whenever you want come to this masjid at this time, you will find me .
Then I said to him : ( arrivederci ) which is ( goodbye ) in Italian . He was happy with it and we departed .


t is a benefit to know the English language or other languages, through it I was able to communicate with this Italian and may have opened a bridge for him to enter Islam if Allah wills .
